Wednesday's Flower

Wednesday's Story
Did you know…
That bees can’t see red? It’s not in their spectrum of color. And did you know…hummingbirds can see red to help pollinate flowers that aren’t seen by bees. So I’m assuming that this flower will attract both!
points of interest
Bushy and upright with slender, branching stems, bearing broad, funnel-shaped, five-lobed flowers from summer to autumn. Wide variety of colors including lilac, azure, purple, scarlet, rose, brown, orange, beige, yellow and gold, that are heavily veined in deeper, contrasting colors. Stems are sticky and hairy. Suitable for annual, herbaceous or mixed border or in containers.
general care
Grow in moderately fertile, humus-rich, moist, but well-drained, soil in fill sun. Do not overwater. Dead head to encourage optimal flowering and fertilize with flower fertilizer two times per month.
friday’s flower fact
Excellent to add bright color to gardens or containers in regions with cooler summers. For warmer climates, provide afternoon shade or mulch roots to keep healthy looking plants.
