I'm sitting in my kitchen… As I write Wednesday's story, wanting to absorb this delicate, springtime flower. This flower has a personality that reminds me of the Yorkshire Terrier. It thinks and acts like a Great Dane; small and petite but carries itself large. This dainty and vibrant flower awakens me every time I walk into the kitchen, especially with its soft, sweet aroma. Also, it is a wond...

Throwback Wednesday… I’ve been spending time reorganizing my floral photographs. In doing so, I’ve been reminded of my original concept of shooting in my studio and sharing a flower five days a week. It became apparent that the latter of the two was definitely unrealistic. It was a concept in development, and it’s fun to see how it’s evolved. So, for the fun of it, I thought I would tak...

A Tête-à-tête... Is a phrase used for having a private conversation, a chat between two people, an intimate exchange. The tête-à-tête I'm observing looks to be a very cheerful and lively conversation; one of good intention, bright moments, and one that I'm quite enjoying, even as an onlooker. Find this flower and others in our floral print store.

A U.F.O..? It looks as if it has come from another world and is twirling around to make a landing. But it’s exotic, fragrant, and purple, so it must not be an Unidentified Flying Object. Instead I’ll call it a Unique Floral Oasis. Find this flower and others in our floral print store.

As I wandered the gardens… At Wildseed Farms, the wind was blowing. The flowers and leaves were rustling, but I heard something more. Though very soft in the distance, it felt as if I heard a choir singing. As I got closer, I thought I heard the lovely sounds of an aria. Let me know if you hear it too... Texture & Shape… And the many varieties I keep coming across and being in awe of along this floral journey. There are the soft, delicate petals of the Superstition Mallow…The round shape of the 100 thousand petals that create the Teddy Bear Sunflower…The spiky metallic sphere of the Globe Thistle…The Kooshball likeness of the Pink Powder Puff. Each so unique, as is this cylinder cone,...

The beauty of the unnoticed… Unnoticed because it’s just a bud; a bud that we want to see in bloom. We want the full view, the colorful view. Today though, it’s a simple bud with leaves. But if I pause to take notice, I can see its many facets in its own unique time and space; teaching me to look beyond the anticipated and appreciate the moment I’m in. This Valentine’s Day I’m scooping up… A delightful bowl of strawberry ice cream that is creamy and delectable. It’s like the perfect spoonful after unloading the groceries, when the ice cream’s consistency at the edges of the container is velvety and smooth. The ‘scoop’ I’m serving up has velvety edges too, with swirls of petals in various tones of strawberry with nuances of lem...
