Mother’s Day is a day to say thank you and appreciate everything our moms do for us. It gives me a chance to let my mom know how much I appreciate her; her constant belief in me, her encouragement, how she listens to me blabber on, and how she’s always there for me. I so admire my mom and she is a woman who is beautiful both inside and out.

As per Merriam-Webster’s dictionary, “maternal tenderness and affection” is the definition of ‘Mother’.

As much as Mother’s Day is about celebrating my mom, I also want to celebrate the many other women in my life. As per Merriam-Webster’s dictionary, “maternal tenderness and affection” is the definition of ‘Mother’. That encompasses many women I know, and even though these women are not my ‘mom,’ they are also an important part of who I am. They have helped to shape me into the person I am today, and I want to take a moment to say ‘thank you’ to them too.

I think the gesture of appreciating the women in our lives doesn’t need to be grand, as it’s more about expressing it.
