FLOWER QUOTE: BE THE CHANGE May 15, 2017
Be the Change | Monday's Flower Quote

MY TWO CENTS
Be the change you wish to see… This has been my mantra ever since I started Floating Petals. It is the last sentence I write every time I journal. It is my goal to be the change, and the change I want to make is to bring moments of beauty and nature into each of our lives throughout the week; to create moments that have nothing to do with the checklist or stress of the day, but a moment to connect to nature and all of its beauty and glory. What change do you wish to see in the world?

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Mahatma Gandhi (October 2, 1869-January 30, 1948) was born and raised as a Hindu in India and became a lawyer in London. He was most known for organizing nonviolent civil marches in both South Africa and India and he was imprisoned on numerous occasions, dealt with racial physical and verbal abuse in both countries and continued to handling all of these situations with nonviolence and honesty as he encouraged all to do the same. He lived up to his own quote as he lived to see the change he wanted in the world of creating freedom for Indians. If you have never seen the movie, Ghandi played by Sir Ben Kingsley, I highly recommend buying or renting it, and I will be looking to watch again as, to this day, it still has an impact on me.
