FLOWER QUOTE: THE FAIREST THING IN NATURE Apr 24, 2017
Flower Quote Fairest

MY TWO CENTS
The fairest thing in nature, a flower… Yes, I couldn’t agree more that the fairest thing is a flower! What is wonderful about this quote is how it continues to expound, because it describes to me the other reasons flowers are the most honorable: they are rooted in the earth and manure, which is all a part of life.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
D. H. Lawrence (September 11, 1885-March 2, 1930) was a well-known English novelist, playwright, poet, literary critic, painter and essayist. Some of his best known novels were Sons and Lovers, The Rainbow, Women in Love and Lady Chatterly’s Lover. I personally have only heard of Lady Chatterley’s Lover, though I never read it. He wrote over 800 poems, many short stories, as well as paintings which became his primary medium later in life. During the second part of his life, due to his outspoken opinions, he had many enemies and chose to exile himself from others. After his death, he was considered a pornographer and many felt it was a waste of his talents. E. M. Froster, though, described him as “The greatest imaginative novelist of our generation.”[1]
