FLOWER QUOTE: GRATITUDE IS THE FAIREST BLOSSOM Nov 06, 2017
Gratitude is the Fairest Blossom

MY TWO CENTS
Gratitude is the fairest blossom which springs from the soul… With Thanksgiving and the holiday season coming, I find it’s very easy to get caught up in the hubbub of the season. So, maybe that is why it is so appropriate that Thanksgiving comes first, to remind us of all that we each have so much to be thankful for. I would like to say gratitude comes easy to me, but I’m sorry to say that it doesn’t always. It’s very easy to get distracted, but I know I have so much to be grateful for. My daily journal that I write at least five things in each day of what I’m grateful for is one way I remind myself of all that I have to be thankful for.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Henry Ward Beecher (June 24, 1813 – March 8, 1887) was born in Litchfield, Connecticut. He became a Congregationalist minister, editor, author, speaker and supporter of the abolition of slavery. He was also the brother of Harriet Beecher Stowe, who wrote Uncle Tom’s Cabin. Beecher became a well-known speaker for his ease and humor and his main focus was emphasizing God’s love. After the war, he was a supporter of social reform for various causes like women’s suffrage and temperance. He also became known as a womanizer and was put on trial for having an affair with Elizabeth Tilton, wife of Theodore Tilton. This “became one of the most widely reported U.S trials of the century. Beecher’s long career in the public spotlight led biographer Debby Applegate to call him ‘The Most Famous Man in America’”.(1)
