FLOWER QUOTE: IF I HAD A FLOWER May 08, 2017
Flower Quote | If I Had A Flower

MY TWO CENTS
If I had a flower for every time I thought of you… The perfect quote to share with friends to bring a smile to their faces, just as my cousin did when she sent this quote to me last week. Thanks Barb for making my day!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Alfred Tennyson (August 6, 1806-October 6, 1892) was a much-loved Victorian poet. He was the fourth of twelve children. His father was a reverend who had mental breakdowns and dealt with alcoholism. Because of the negative affect this had on the family, Alfred escaped to attend Trinity College in Cambridge. He published many books, and his most successful book was in the first month of publishing: Idylls of the Kings. Because of his success in writing poetry, he, his wife and two sons were able to move to the country were he could write in solitude. In 1884, he became Alfred Lord Tennyson after receiving a peerage.
