MY TWO CENTS
There are always flowers for those who want to see them… A very true statement that if you are willing to seek flowers you will find them. Just ask my husband how often I stop to look at a new flower along the way. This quote has a much grander meaning, though: that there are many wonders, many surprises, and many things to be thankful for, for those who want to seek and appreciate them.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Henri Matisse (December 31, 1869-November 3, 1954) was a French draftsman, printmaker, sculptor and most well known as an artist. He was a leader in the short-lived Fauvism movement, and he is most associated, along with Pablo Picasso, for being a leading figure of the modern art revolution. His art was primarily based on nature and his subjects were mainly women and still life.
I have had the great fortune of experiencing many of his paintings along with his sculpture The Back Series’ at museums in my travels, and though modern art is not my first love, I greatly appreciated his work just the same.

What does it mean though?
For me, this quote has a much grander meaning: there are many wonders (such as flowers) in life to be thankful for, especially for those who want to seek and appreciate them.
