MY TWO CENTS
The butterfly is a flying flower, The flower a tethered butterfly… I see this featured flower above, Flight of Butterflies Iris, as a tethered flower. Its petals move as if it could take flight any second. And how delightful and wondrous is this quote, to see the butterfly as a flying flower and to see the flower as a butterfly about to take flight; it makes me see flowers differently and with more wonder, and butterflies too! I really appreciate, as an adult, to be given a whimsical and new perspective.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Ponce Denis Ecouchard Lebrun (August 11, 1729 – August 31, 1807) was a French lyric poet. He was known to have a very bad temper, so bad that his wife asked for a separation from him and his own mother and sister supported her. Lebrun’s best poetic works were epigrams, though he was not known for writing good odes. He was satirical writer, which also reflected his temperament and the attacks he would make on others, especially those in reign. Lebrun’s works were published in 1811 and his best works were also included in Prosper Poitevin’s “Petits poètes français.”
