MY TWO CENTS
Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow… As you may have read in my blooming blog, my one word to guide me through 2019 is gratitude. I interrupt Melody’s quote to say that gratitude leads us to a place of seeing what our past has given us and to be grateful for it and how it has shaped us into who we are today. And from there, letting it bring peace into our lives. Next, allowing it to lead to a better tomorrow with a focus on being grateful and how that can create a new vision for our lives.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Melody Beattie (1948) was born in St. Paul, Minnesota. Her father left when she was a toddler. As a child, Beattie was abducted for a day and that haunted her through her early years. She also dealt with abuse that her mother did not acknowledge. In her teen years, Beattie became addicted to alcohol and drugs. She turned her life around and has become a well-known therapist and author and focuses on codependency.
