Normality is a paved road: It’s comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow on it…How apropos from a famous artist who painted flowers, among many other subjects, to give such thoughtful words: to remind us not to be part of the status quo, but to walk where it may be rocky or challenging; to find that wandering off the comfortable, paved road is worth the risk; to truly live your life.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Vincent van Gogh (March 30, 1853 – July 29, 1890) is a very well-known Post-Impressionist artist. He created over 2,100 pieces of art: still lifes, landscape, portraits and self-portraits. One of his best known pieces is ‘The Starry Night’. I always associate him with his paintings of sunflowers and irises. His work can be seen in numerous museums throughout the world. A popular destination is the Van Gogh Museum, one of the most popular museums in the Netherlands with over 1.9 million visitors a year.
