FLOWER QUOTE: THE TRUE BEAUTY OF MUSIC Jul 23, 2018
The True Beauty of Music

MY TWO CENTS
The true beauty of music is that it connects people… Music has many wonderful attributes and can affect my mood in the most happy and delightful ways. It has created moments of connecting with my husband when I get hooked on a song. I’ll play it loud, and we’ll dance to it in my office or the living room. It also connects me to others, and there is one fun and surprising connection I had with Buttercups and a cellist in Dorset, Vermont.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Roy Ayers (born September 10, 1940) grew up in a musical family, as both of his parents played instruments. He started when he was five years old when he received a pair of vibraphone mallets. Ayers grew up in the epicenter of the black music locale of South Central. During high school he sang in his church choir and was part of a band called The Latin Lyrics. He is musically known in many arenas: American funk, soul, jazz composer along with being a vibraphone player. Ayers has a long list of music he has produced and co-produced. If I were him, one compliment I would appreciate receiving is that Pharrell Williams considers him “one of his key musical heroes.”[1]
