WHAT I SEE IN FLOWERS Jan 13, 2015
My Blooming Blog - Inspiring Flower Stories and Photography - African Daisy - Flowers Inspire...

Flowers inspire me not with only their beauty, but with all that they have to teach me with their strength, wisdom, joy, and grace; how incredibly intricate they are and yet what simplicity and joy they bring to a moment, to life. Each flower has a certain vulnerability that I admire too. A willingness to share something almost personal. It bears all in blooming from being so delicate and yet so strong and resilient, and I appreciate its openness, its willingness to share its story. A story of being bold, yet quiet, elegant, yet playful. Flowers possess such qualities that I could only hope to acquire and that is why I’m on this journey to photograph, write about, and share them so as not to miss an opportunity to learn and grow from them, from nature.

The multitude of flowers is beyond my comprehension, but I’m thrilled that it is an endless road in discovering and learning something new each week. To see how different and intriguing each one is and every week I am surprised by each flower’s uniqueness, and the story it has to tell and the lessons I can learn from it.

What one word, quality comes to mind when you think of a flower? Please share it with me below to create a list of qualities that I will share in an upcoming blog.

  1. Honesty. A flower is a flower. It does not pretend to be something else. It is true to itself. It does everything it must do to survive and will struggle through anything to be…itself. A flower.
