My office is a very personal space for me. It is a space that motivates me, encourages me, and inspires me. I have spent many days in client’s offices, too, and have not felt so inspired. I’ve been to corporate offices that are football fields of cubicles under fluorescent lighting. I’ve both worked in them and spent many days wondering how to make such a space inspiring. Thinking, that for me, if this was my work space, I would need a fresh bouquet of flowers each week on my desk or even just one flower in a single vase. And then, I thought wouldn’t it be wonderful if every desk had a bouquet of flowers on it? Obviously that was a not something easily done. So, I pondered … what if I could deliver a flower every week to each person’s desktop? In that moment I knew that was something I could do. I could create a backdrop, or wallpaper, a bouquet or a single flower to offer a moment of beauty. I wanted and knew I could create, through this single, just for you moment of beauty, many more moments that would give us a break from the hectic life we all seem to lead. And I realized, why should it stop there? I knew that I would want more, and from this the Cutting Room Floor was created to be posted on Saturday mornings for … a window into the varying perspectives from my lens.
Please share with me where you spend the majority of your day. Is it an inspiring, motivating, creative space, just for you, that allows you to live in the moment? If not, how could it be? What one thing could you add to make the space more your own?
Now, come with me on this journey. A journey of flowers, beauty, grace, an adventure even— and every Wednesday a moment just for you.

What a beautiful vision! And a great reminder that wherever we physically spend our time, the space we always occupy is in our own heads and there we have the capacity to determine the quality and beauty it will embody.
I spend the majority of my weekdays in a office and while I would prefer to be outdoors, I have the great fortune of being with a wonderful group of people doing good and meaningful work. Sometimes beauty is intangible. Thank you for sharing your vision and your beautiful embellishments to our daily lives.
